Card Covers
Christine makes handsewn single-section scrapbooks, with up to 16 pages, 160gsm card covers and toning/contrasting spines. They are available in either A5 (8" by 6"/210 x 148 mm) or A4 (12" by 8"/297 x 210 mm), though the trimmed pages come out a little smaller.
The inside paper can be white 130gsm office-quality paper, pastel sugarpaper, bright sugarpaper, or a mixture. Christine can print your own text and/or pictures on white paper in an A5 book, or make lined paper for your own use. She is particularly pleased with the vacation diary she made for her daughter, comprising white paper, each page dated, with the top half lined and the bottom half plain, interleaved with sugarpaper, for writing, drawing and sticking on.
Christine holds stock of a range of coloured card, and can print your own text on the cover, either a name or a book title, if required, in black or colour. She also has a stock of suitable decorations.
Prices start at £6.50 (A5), and £10 (A4), plus postage. Prices for customised books depend on specification.
Case binding
Christine can also bind hardback books, using A5 or A4 paper as above. Prices start at £9 (A5) and £15 (A4), plus postage. For more complex work, she can buy in A5 bookblocks of lined or unlined paper (144 leaves), or photograph albums (32 leaves, 200x150mm), and bind them in the same way, at a cost of £20 plus postage.
